Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership & Communication
Administrative Management
● Daily Operations Oversight: Ensure smooth running of all Junior School activities, including timetabling, classroom allocation, and resource management.
● Efficiency & Compliance: Monitor administrative processes to guarantee efficiency, adherence to school policies, and compliance with regulatory standards.
● Resource Coordination: Manage logistical needs such as teaching materials, facilities, and support services to optimize the learning environment.
● Problem-Solving: Anticipate and resolve operational challenges quickly, ensuring minimal disruption to teaching and learning
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized institution. A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, or Curriculum Studies will be an added advantage.
Certification: Must hold a valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and be in good standing.
Experience:
● At least 10 years of teaching experience in secondary school, with demonstrable success in classroom practice and student outcomes.
● A minimum of 5 years in an instructional leadership role (e.g., Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher, Head of Department), with a proven ability to mentor staff, lead teams, and raise performance standards.
● Must have experience teaching and managing at the high school level, ensuring familiarity with both junior and senior school transitions and expectations.
● Documented evidence of impact on staff development and learner achievement, such as improved exam results, successful curriculum implementation, or enhanced teaching quality.
